Responsibilities:
- Administration of council tax accounts, processing changes and maintaining liabilities.
- Answer telephone calls from customers enquiring about their accounts and negotiate payment arrangements with those who have council tax arrears.
- Provide comprehensive advice to council residents with excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Previous experience in debt recovery or council tax administration is preferred.
- Demonstrable ability to work accurately under complex legislative guidance and meet targets.
- Practical knowledge of IT packages including Microsoft Office Suite.
Legislation: This post is excepted in terms of the Rehabilitation of Offenders Scotland Act 2020.
