Responsibilities
- Lead, manage and support the work of colleagues providing strategic direction and guidance as necessary
- Lead curriculum development and quality assurance
- Contribute to the development of school policy in relation to the behaviour management of pupils
- Review and support professional needs, and performance of colleagues through career-long professional learning
- Where required, lead, implement and manage whole school policies including, where appropriate, guidance, pastoral care and behaviour support
Professional Qualifications and Requirements
- Legal requirement: registered with the General Teaching Council (Scotland)
- Overseas criminal records check for applicants born outside the UK or who have lived or worked outside the UK for a continuous period of three months in the past 10 years; check must be in English and include a statement confirming no history of or pending criminal record proceedings
- Post is excepted under the Rehabilitation of Offenders (Scotland) Act 2020; this is a regulated role with children and/or adults, so disclosure is required under the Disclosure Scotland Act 2020
