What we do:

Provide a professional valuation and electoral registration service for both North and South Lanarkshire council areas in respect of the compilation of the Valuation Rolls, Valuation (Council Tax) List and Register of Electors.

Our vision:

To deliver quality in the work which we undertake, provide efficient services to all service users, and ensure completeness and accuracy of the Electoral Register, Valuation Rolls and the Valuation (Council Tax) Lists.

Who are we looking for:

Divisional Valuer who will carry out property inspections and valuations, analyse rental transactions, devise schemes of valuation, negotiate proposals and appeals with professional agents/rate payers, and act as an expert witness. You will be required to assist the Divisional Assessor alongside your fellow Divisional Valuers, in the supervision and management of the valuation team. This role will require you to deputise for the Divisional Assessor when required. You will also be expected to represent the Assessor at Tribunal hearings leading evidence for Council Tax appeals and as an expert witness in Non Domestic Rating appeals. You will have a positive, professional attitude together with the ability to work under pressure while ensuring strict deadlines are achieved and the ability to work as part of a team, or individually. In addition, you will be required to drive to survey appointments and scheduled meetings. A full driving licence and use of a car for business purposes, or the ability to drive a pool car for business purposes, is desirable for this role, but not required.
