The Support Services and Wellbeing Manager will be responsible to the Depute Head of Student Services to ensure effective delivery of an integrated and inclusive student support service providing high-quality educational learning support and health and wellbeing services.

Your duties will include:

  • Working collaboratively to effectively manage and develop the Educational Learning Support, Guidance and Support and Counselling functional areas.
  • Supporting the Educational Learning Support team to identify and assess the needs of students who disclose a learning support need and make recommendations of reasonable adjustments and support measures across teaching, learning and assessment.

The successful candidate must be educated to degree level or SCQF Level 9 in addition to holding a qualification in inclusive learning strategies to support learners with additional needs, such as PDA Strategies to Facilitate Inclusive Learning & Working. Experience in assessing support needs, developing and delivering appropriate support plans and liaising and working with multi-agency support is essential.

This post is considered Regulated Work with Children under the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) Act 2007. Successful applicants will be required to become members of the relevant PVG scheme, or undergo a PVG Scheme update check prior to a formal offer being made by South Lanarkshire College.
