Paying up to £40k - We’re delighted to be supporting a well-establishedprofessional services organisation based in central Liverpool in the appointment of an experienced and highly organised Office Manager.
This is a broad and varied role, offering the opportunity to take ownership of the smooth, effective and professional running of the office. You’ll play a key part in supporting the Practice Manager and Directors, while also being a welcoming first point of contact for clients, visitors and external stakeholders.
From managing office operations, HR and finance administration through to supporting quality and compliance, facilities, suppliers and internal projects, this role would suit someone who enjoys variety, takes pride in their work and is confident managing multiple priorities.
You’ll become an integral part of the team, helping to maintain a high-quality working environment and ensuring the organisation continues to operate efficiently, professionally and in line with its high standards.
This is a permanent, fulltime, office-based role working from 9am - 5.30pm Monday to Friday
THE ROLE
As Office Manager, you’ll be responsible for:
- Managing the smooth day-to-day running of the office
- Maintaining and improving office systems, policies and procedures
- SupportingISO 9001 and ISO 14001quality and compliance
- Managing finance administration, including invoices, payments, VAT returns and Sage One records
- Supporting HR administration, including contracts, recruitment, inductions, holidays and staff benefits
- Coordinating suppliers, utilities, insurance and office facilities
- Overseeing office maintenance and ad-hoc projects
- Acting as the first point of contact for clients, visitors and external stakeholders
- Managing telephone calls, post, deliveries, emails and general correspondence
- Coordinating meetings and maintaining office records and filing systems
- Managing office supplies and ensuring the workplace remains well organised
- Supporting website, social media and marketing activity
- Liaising with outsourced IT support
THE PERSON
We’re looking for someone who isorganised, proactive and confident, with previous experience in an office management role.
You’ll ideally have:
- Excellent organisational and time-management skills
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Excellent attention to detail
- The ability to manage multiple priorities and competing demands
- A proactive, solutions-focused approach
- Confidence handling confidential and sensitive information
- A professional and welcoming manner with clients and visitors
- The ability to work independently while being a strong team player
- The confidence to use initiative and make decisions, while knowing when to elevate
- Good IT skills, ideally including Microsoft Office and Sage One
- Experience of ISO 9001 / ISO 14001 would be advantageous
