South Holland District Council is undergoing a major waste transformation project this year, with this in mind we are looking to increase operational management capacity by recruiting an additional waste services supervisor.
If you have experience of supervising an operational team, and working in a local authority or waste or cleansing environment we want to hear from you.
Responsibilities- Supervising the effective delivery of refuse, recycling, garden waste, and new food waste collection services.
- Implementing health and safety compliance, creating a safe and supportive workplace for your team.
- Ensuring collection routes are efficient and well planned.
- Embracing new technology to optimize processes and deliver innovative solutions.
- Help develop a performance-led culture that motivates and supports your team to achieve their best.
- Undertake induction, training and ongoing monitoring and support of colleagues.
We will require flexibility to working hours, potentially working out in all weathers for prolonged periods of time. We are looking for someone with a positive attitude and confident approach when dealing with service delivery issues with both operational staff and members of the public.
Requirements- Cat C (HGV) licence is essential.
