We are looking for a motivated and skilled Planning professional to join our South Holland District Council Planning Service as a Planning/Senior Planning Officer (Career Graded). Our Planning Team is committed to creating sustainable, vibrant communities with a key focus on people and place. As a Senior Planning Officer, you will have the opportunity to contribute directly to economic growth, housing delivery, and regeneration schemes. Your expertise and leadership will be crucial in ensuring the efficient and effective delivery of planning services. You will work closely with the Principal Planning Officer and Development Management Lead to deliver quality outcomes and ensure a positive, collaborative approach across the Planning Team.
This is a career graded role, with opportunity to progress from Planning Officer to Senior Planning Officer. Applicants interested in all levels of the role are encouraged to apply.
Key responsibilities of the role include:
- Be responsible for and manage a diverse range of cases, including major developments, contributing to the delivery of key projects that support economic growth, regeneration and housing delivery.
- Provide planning advice to internal and external stakeholders, developers, members and residents.
- Represent the Planning Service at committee and appeals as required.
- Strive to provide excellent customer service, providing honest, professional and reliable advice to a range of stakeholders and customers.
This position is a shared role within the South and East Lincolnshire Councils Partnership (SELCP) and forms part of the S113 agreement between the participating Partnership Councils in accordance with the Memorandum of Agreement 1st October 2021.
