The Role
South Hampstead High School is seeking a hands‑on, multi‑skilled maintenance professional to play a key role keeping our busy school site operational, safe and well‑maintained. Carrying out practical maintenance and repair tasks across the school, including basic plumbing, carpentry, decorating, electrical fault‑finding and general building maintenance. Supporting health and safety checks, monitoring site systems and assisting with the general upkeep of buildings and grounds. Supporting the wider operational needs of the school, such as preparing spaces for events and exams, liaising with contractors, moving equipment and ensuring the site is secure and operational throughout the school day.
This is a varied, hands‑on role suited to somebody with practical maintenance or trade skills who enjoys problem‑solving and takes pride in delivering high standards of work. Previous building maintenance or trade experience is essential, ideally gained within a school, education or similar busy environment.
