Job Responsibilities

  • Provide a welcoming and professional front of house Reception Service for students, staff and visitors.
  • Act as the first point of contact, handling enquiries from the public, students and staff in line with safeguarding protocols.
  • Operate the college switchboard efficiently, ensuring a positive experience for all callers.
  • Provide excellent customer service across in-person, phone and digital channels.
  • Respond to course enquiries accurately, clearly and within agreed time frames.
  • Support admissions processes for 16-19, adult and Higher Education applications.
  • Process student applications, ensuring accurate, secure data entry and maintenance.
  • Produce reports from admissions systems and follow up with applicants on missing information.
  • Coordinate interview arrangements, including issuing letters and maintaining applicant records.
  • Assist with enrolment processes and student onboarding activities.
  • Maintain accurate records, statistics and electronic data in line with GDPR requirements.
  • Complete administrative tasks to support admissions and reception services.
  • Use and support college systems effectively.
  • Work collaboratively within the team to deliver a high-quality applicant and student experience.
  • Support college events such as Open Evenings, Welcome Days and Advice Sessions.
  • Promote and uphold safeguarding responsibilities for children, young people and vulnerable adults.
  • Demonstrate flexibility during peak periods (e.g. enrolment and events).
  • Undertake additional duties as required, including working across college sites as needed.
