We currently have an exciting opportunity for a passionate, dedicated and skilled Admissions and Guidance Officer. The information below provides more detail about the role.

Duties:
- To administer the processing of all student applications for 16-19, 19 plus and Higher Education courses ensuring that data is effectively inputted, checked and maintained securely and that service standards are met in line with the College’s Admissions and Recruitment Policy.
- Deliver excellent customer service at all times, being the first point of contact for applicant enquiries, providing essential information and supporting students in making appropriate choices.
- Have a good understanding of adult funding streams.
- Have a good understanding of the application process for 16-18, Higher Education and adult audiences, being able to provide relevant information about the application process and guidance on areas such as travel, finances, and course information.
- Answer enquiries about college courses via a variety of means ensuring enquirers receive a comprehensive, accurate and timely response in line with college processes.
- Support with coordinating the College interviews; collating schedules, processing student letters and interview information, liaising with curriculum, dealing with enquiries, preparing keep warm campaigns and follow up communications.
- Play a key role in the College’s Internal Progression procedure, ensuring students are supported in processing their college applications, provided with timely information.
- Work with curriculum teams to update knowledge of the provision on offer and how it links with career progression, students’ intended destination and the local employment market.
Skills / Experience:
- Experience of successfully working in a school/college environment.
- Experience of delivering excellent customer service.
- Experience of data inputting and administrative delivery in a fast‑paced environment.
- Evidence of well‑developed administration skills and a high level of IT literacy.
Qualifications:
- 5 GCSEs or equivalent including Maths and English at Grade C or above (IT is desirable).
- Level 3/4 Qualification in a relevant field (e.g. Business Admin is desirable).
- Level 4 Qualification in Advice and Guidance.
Ideal Attributes:
- Ability to work with accuracy and attention to detail.
- Ability to work under pressure and to tight deadlines.
- Driving licence and/or access to transportation – May require cross‑campus working.
