How you'll make a difference
As a Weekend Community Meals Catering Assistant, you will help prepare nutritious, high-quality meals for elderly and vulnerable members of the community who may be unable to cook for themselves.
This is rewarding role helps make a positive difference to the lives of those most in need.
- What you will be doing
- Working alongside the Cook, you will support the preparation and cooking of a range of hot and cold meals and snacks for lunch and dinner services.
- You will help ensure meals are prepared, packed and ready on time for collection and distribution to members of the local community.
- It will be your responsibility to maintain high standards of cleanliness and food hygiene, carrying out cleaning duties and completing scheduled cleaning tasks.
- What we need from you
- We are looking for someone who can work efficiently and maintain a consistent pace while ensuring high standards of quality and service.
- It is essential that you have attention to detail, as you will be required to follow instructions carefully, including preparing and packing meals in line with delivery schedules and meal allocation lists.
- You will be committed to maintaining excellent standards of cleanliness, food safety and hygiene, helping to ensure a safe and well-organised working environment at all times.
- Ideally, you will have previous experience of working in a food preparation or catering environment.
