As Streetworks Lead Operative, you will carry out essential mechanical operations such as road sweeping and gully emptying across South Gloucestershire. We take pride in our innovative approach to service delivery and operate a modern, well maintained fleet of vehicles to support high-quality, efficient work.
What you will be doing:
- Carry out HGV driving duties, including operating gully tankers and road sweeping equipment as required.
- Complete daily vehicle and safety checks before travelling to site to carry out the planned tasks for the day.
- Ensure all waste is disposed of correctly, in line with duty of care requirements and relevant waste legislation.
- Accurately record activities, report on work progress and carry out basic operator repairs and maintenance.
- Work outdoors in all weather conditions, often on grass verges, footpaths and in close proximity to traffic.
What we need from you:
- Hold a full, valid driving licence with a minimum category C/Class 2 entitlement.
- At least 2 years of HGV driving experience.
- Demonstrate a basic understanding of the job role requirements.
- Good level of physical fitness, with regular manual handling tasks including bending, lifting and carrying.

- Weekend or night works may be involved, for which the appropriate enhancement will be paid.
