As an Information Support Officer within the Education Data team, you will assist with the collation, analysis, production and presentation of management information, as well as activities that improve the quality of data feeding into that analysis. Your work will help the council to enhance services and service delivery, contributing to improved outcomes for children, young people and adults.

What You Will Be Doing

  • Process free school meals and the School Census returns.
  • Work closely with schools and other settings to improve the quality of data they provide, either through direct engagement or via system-to-system transfers into our Capita database via XVault.
  • Provide information that supports statutory returns and management reports, informing key decisions such as funding or place planning.

  • Experience of working in an environment using a database.
  • Good literacy skills to contribute to writing clear, accurate and concise reports.

What You Need To Know

  • Work 4 days, 29.6 hours per week.
  • Secondment for a limited term until 30th September 2026; please seek permission from your current line manager before applying.
  • Hybrid role: primarily working from home with visits to our office for team meetings.
