As a Business and Administration Support Officer, you will provide a fully comprehensive and confidential business and administration service to allocated service managers in our Integrated Children’s Service.

What You Will Be Doing

  • Providing advice to customers, contacts, external organisations and colleagues, ensuring they receive appropriate guidance about policies and procedures.
  • Carrying out research, collating data and presenting information within your area of service specialism, which may include drafting documentation and clear, accessible findings.
  • Managing diaries and making appointments.
  • Coordinating responses to queries, MP enquiries, complaints and requests, relaying those you are unable to resolve to more senior members, ensuring the customer is informed accordingly.
  • Providing a wide and varied range of administrative tasks to assigned projects, ensuring written reports are compiled, support is provided and records are accurate to help inform decision making.
  • Providing support to personal assistants to cover during busy periods and for annual leave.

What We Need From You

  • A minimum qualification of 3 GCSEs, including English and maths, or equivalent relevant experience within a similar role in administration.
  • Effective communication skills to service users, professionals and partnership agencies using a variety of media.
  • Demonstrated IT knowledge and its practical application, including experience of using Microsoft Office, databases and running standard reports.
  • Experience of basic financial procedures such as petty cash, invoicing etc.

What You Need To Know

  • Salary will be pro rated to hours worked.
  • Your working hours will be Monday and Tuesday all day and Wednesday afternoon.
  • This role is hybrid, with a mixture of working at our office in Badminton Road, Yate and working from home.
