How You\’ll Make a Difference
As Electrical Supervisor, you will be responsible for the effective delivery of the street lighting services across South Gloucestershire through co-ordinating and motivating a team of electricians and tradesmen.
How You\’ll Make a Difference
As Electrical Supervisor, you will be responsible for the effective delivery of the street lighting services across South Gloucestershire through co-ordinating and motivating a team of electricians and tradesmen.
What You Will Be Doing
- It will be your responsibility to manage 2-3 teams of Electricians working on street lighting installations and maintenance across South Gloucestershire.
- Regularly, you will be allocating staff and resources effectively to meet service requirements.
- Day to day, you will be responsible for the management of your teams, including absence monitoring, appraisals and training, ensuring all team members receive ongoing support and development.
- You will liaise with customers, coordinating work to achieve required standards.
- You will be responsible for ensuring work operations are carried out in accordance with specifications and regulations, and you will inspect, monitor and report on service standards.
What We Need From You
- We require you to have, or be working towards, a professional/technical qualification e.g. HNC, NVQ4, or have equivalent relevant experience.
- It is essential for you to have knowledge of relevant legislation, procedures and policies e.g. health and safety.
- Given the elements of this role, you must have the ability to identify problems and provide creative, workable solutions within short timeframes.
- You will have experience of supervising, motivating and developing a team, including allocation of work, performing absence monitoring, conducting training and undertaking recruitment.
What You Need To Know
- This is a full time role, working 42 hours per week, including 5 hrs contractual overtime.
- Your shift pattern will be 7.00am – 16.30pm.
Interviews will be held on 3rd September 2025.
