The predicted salary is between 28800 - 48000 Β£ per year.

As an Accountant, you will work with project managers to support the delivery of transport infrastructure projects, ensuring they are completed on time and within budget. You will provide accurate, timely financial reporting, including robust cost forecasts.

What you will be doing:

  • Act as a point of contact for financial support, advice, and guidance, providing proactive support to project managers.
  • Monitor project budgets, track and manage project finances, ensuring alignment with approved budgets.
  • Prepare timely and accurate financial reports for internal and external stakeholders, and work with project teams to produce reliable cost forecasts.
  • Conduct variance analysis, identify and explain budget versus actual variances, and recommend corrective actions.
  • Collaborate daily with project teams, including project managers and construction teams, to support financial planning and decision-making.

What we need from you:

  • Hold a recognized CCAB qualification, preferably CIPFA.
  • Experience in project accounting and supporting projects in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to analyze complex data, provide solutions and recommendations, and communicate effectively at all levels.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft D365 is desirable.
  • Excellent time management skills to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
