SGS College has an exciting opportunity for a Work Placement Coach at our Stroud campus.

Role Information

  • Reference: REQ001444
  • Location: Stroud Campus
  • FTE Salary: up to £28,050.00 (salary is dependent on qualifications and experience)
  • Actual Salary: up to £16,194.14
  • Contract Type: Permanent, Part-Time, Term Time Only
  • Working Hours: 24 hours per week, 40 weeks per year

Key Tasks and Responsibilities

  • Promote the benefits of work placements to learners and employers
  • Work with learners on a 1:1 basis and in groups
  • Visit students on placement at employer premises
  • Be in regular contact with employers during the learners’ placement
  • Work closely with curriculum staff to monitor learner performance
  • Complete a Health & Safety checklist of the employer
  • Track, monitor and give feedback on learner progress
  • Develop and maintain links with employers
  • Administration and keeping up‑to‑date records

  • Ability to show initiative, mediate, be persuasive, and deal with sensitive situations
  • Ability to travel & good IT skills
  • Driving licence and use of own vehicle is essential
