Key Tasks and Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver engaging GCSE English lessons that meet the needs of diverse learners, ensuring progress and achievement.
- Monitor and support learners’ development in English, providing feedback and interventions to help them achieve positive outcomes.
- Collaborate with colleagues across learning areas to support the development of learners\’ numeracy skills within their broader curriculum.
- Share best practices and innovative teaching strategies with the English team and wider staff to enhance the quality of numeracy delivery.
- Maintain accurate records of learners’ progress and contribute to reports, reviews, and quality improvement initiatives within the department.
Beneficial Skills & Qualifications
- Proven experience working with learners in an educational setting, demonstrating an ability to inspire and motivate.
- Educated to degree level or equivalent or possessing substantial relevant subject expertise in English.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to engage effectively with students, colleagues, and stakeholders.
- Commitment to continuous professional development, including obtaining a Stage 3 full professional qualification (PGCE in post-16 education or equivalent).
