Working Hours: 22.5 hours per week, 38 weeks per year

The CHASE is a Specialist SEND provision at our Stroud campus which supports young people from 16-24. The provision is based around developing skills for preparing for adulthood and improving skills for employment and supported living. Through growth of the provision, we are looking to appoint passionate and adaptable individuals who will support our learners 1:1 or in small groups.
Key Tasks and Responsibilities:
- Support high‑needs learners to develop confidence and independence to prepare them for adulthood.
- Work with a person‑centred approach to enable learners to fulfil their potential within a highly differentiated learning environment.
- Meet the provisions of identified learners with EHCPs in the following areas:
- Communication & Interaction
- Cognition & Learning
- Social, Emotional & Mental
- Sensory/Physical
Skills and Expertise:
- Ability to follow direction and support learners in a range of activities both on and off site
- Understanding and/or experience of supporting people with learning disabilities/autism and/or complex needs and/or behaviours of concern
- Effectively communicate with staff at all levels, professionals and families external to the College as well as with the students we support using communication aids as required
- Be confident in using your own initiative when required
- Have strong IT skills and able to manage own time and work under pressure
- Be a strong team player
