SGS has an exciting opportunity at our Bristol Campuses for a Careers Advisor.

Location: Filton & WISE Campuses

FTE Salary: Up to Β£32,040.00 (dependent on qualifications and experience)

Contract Type: Permanent

Working Hours: 37 hours per week (Job share and Term-time will be considered)

About the Role:

This is an exciting opportunity to join our growing, dynamic, and friendly careers team. You will become part of a dedicated team of 10 Careers Professionals, delivering CEIAG (Careers Education, Information, Advice and Guidance) to learners. Your work will focus primarily on supporting 16-19-year-olds through one-to-one guidance, group work, and the development of digital tools and engaging CEIAG content. You will help learners broaden their aspirations, build confidence, and access new pathways in education and employment.

Key Tasks and Responsibilities:

  • Join SGS at a time of investment and innovation, including new facilities and leadership
  • Work as part of a team of 10 Career Professionals, with CPD opportunities through termly peer meetings and conferences
  • Deliver CEIAG in partnership with academic and pastoral teams
  • Create and deliver digital and in-person careers resources
  • Provide personalised one-to-one guidance and group careers activities
  • Support students who need additional help in setting and achieving ambitious goals

Beneficial Skills & Qualifications:

  • Qualified or working towards Level 6/7 Careers Guidance or equivalent coaching qualification
  • Experience providing guidance to students aged 16-19
  • Knowledge of careers resources/services and how to support access to learning or work
  • Experience in the school or FE sector
  • Confident using digital careers software
  • Capable of leading careers workshops and presentations
  • Outgoing and supportive personality
