Are you passionate about helping adults transform their lives through education and employment? Join our dynamic Workforce Adult Skills Team and play a key role in supporting unemployed learners on their journey into meaningful work. As an Employability Advisor, you'll work closely with Job Centres across Essex and East London to match learners with suitable training opportunities. Once learners complete their courses, you'll support them in securing employment—partnering with local employers to open doors and create lasting impact. This is a varied and rewarding role that blends frontline support with operational coordination. You'll need excellent organisational skills, strong IT proficiency, and a customer-focused mindset to thrive. The position is primarily based at our Southend campus, but regular travel to Basildon and Thurrock is required to meet with employers and referral agencies.
What You'll Be Doing
- Liaising with Job Centres to identify training needs and opportunities
- Supporting learners through training and into employment
- Building relationships with local employers to facilitate job placements
- Handling administrative tasks to support programme delivery
- Traveling between campuses to meet stakeholders and support business needs
