We are looking for a passionate individual with a background in Creative Media to join our team as a lecturer for Animation and Games Development qualifications. The role is based at our Basildon campus. The successful candidate will deliver first-class teaching in line with the role requirements for further education (FE) and will inspire students to prepare for a career in the creative media industry. This is a contractual role with a requirement to hold, or enrol on, a recognised teaching qualification.
Responsibilities
- Deliver high-quality teaching on Creative Media, specifically in Animation and Games Development qualifications, within an established and evolving team.
- Provide instruction that aligns with current government and national priorities for FE and skills.
- Inspire and educate students, helping them prepare for success in the creative media industry.
Qualifications and Skills
- Degree or alternative professional qualification in a subject relevant to the area you will be teaching.
- Hold a recognised teaching qualification (e.g., CertEd, DTLLS or DET, or PGCE). If not held, candidates are expected to enrol on a teaching course after passing probation (contractual requirement).
- Proficiency in at least some of the following areas: game design, 3D rigging, C# or C++ coding, mixed reality (VR/AR), narrative structures, compositing, visual coding in Unity or Unreal Engine, graphic design, digital marketing and 2D animation.
