Overview
Lecturer, BA (Hons) Graphic Design & Illustration - one day a week. The post holder will join the award-winning BA (Hons) Graphic Design & Illustration programme within the Higher Education department at the University Centre South Essex. The role requires industry experience with an emphasis on creative image making and illustration, both analogue and digital.
Responsibilities
- Deliver a broad curriculum across levels 4, 5 and 6.
- Share and pass on skills in creative image making, including analogue and digital practices.
- Apply specialist knowledge of relevant industry software such as the Adobe Creative Suite, and leverage social media and digital marketing within current industry practice.
- Contribute to the student learning experience through innovative teaching and assessment approaches.
Qualifications and experience
- High-grade degree in Illustration or a related subject.
- A Master’s degree in Illustration or a related discipline is desirable.
- Experience or knowledge in Adobe Creative Suite and current industry practices.
- PGCE and teaching experience are desirable, though not essential depending on other experience.
