Position Summary
We have a fantastic opportunity to join South Essex College as a Lecturer in Professional Cookery at our Southend City college campus. In this role you will lead a range of courses, ensuring high quality teaching, learning and assessment and supporting learners to meet or exceed their outcomes.
Responsibilities
- Lead course delivery, ensuring innovative teaching, learning and assessment.
- Plan and deliver curriculum sessions, assess learners and provide constructive feedback.
- Manage the student experience, progress and welfare within the curriculum to achieve consistently high outcomes.
- Collaborate with industry and colleagues to support learners into the professional field.
Qualifications and Experience
- Level 3 qualification in Professional Cookery or equivalent.
- Qualification in food safety.
- Relevant industry experience to guide and support learners.
- Teaching qualification desirable, but not essential; support will be provided if successful.
