This is a hands‑on leadership role for an experienced marketing professional who can combine strategic thinking with strong campaign delivery. You will shape how South Essex Colleges Group presents itself across its communities, lead brand and campaign activity across multiple audiences, and help convert interest into applications and enrolments. You will manage a small creative and campaign‑focused team, working across brand, content, digital, design, website, publications and student recruitment campaigns. The role requires someone who can lead people, manage priorities, interpret audience insight, and deliver high‑quality campaigns in a fast‑moving education environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead brand and campaign activity across South Essex Colleges Group
  • Develop insight‑led marketing plans to support recruitment and enrolment
  • Manage multi‑channel campaigns across digital, social, web, email, print, video and publications
  • Lead and support a small team of marketing, design and web colleagues
  • Work closely with Admissions, curriculum teams, senior leaders and wider stakeholders
  • Ensure campaigns are delivered on time, on brand and aligned to strategic priorities
  • Use data, audience insight and performance reporting to improve campaign effectiveness
  • Support the development of a creative centre of excellence within the Marketing and Admissions directorate

About You

  • Proven experience in marketing, brand or campaign management
  • Strong people management or team leadership experience
  • Excellent communication, planning and stakeholder management skills
  • The ability to manage multiple campaigns and deadlines
  • A strong understanding of digital, content and social media channels
  • Confidence using insight and data to shape marketing activity
  • Creative judgement and strong attention to detail
  • The ability to work at both strategic and operational levels

The role holder will work alongside the Marketing Manager for Public Relations and Communications and will report to the Director of Marketing, Admissions & Careers. This is an opportunity to join a team that is driving change, strengthening the College Group’s profile and making a lasting impact on students, employers and communities across South Essex.
