About the role
Deliver engaging lessons across a range of FE electrical programmes, including Level 1 and Level 2 qualifications. Teach both theory (electrical principles, regulations, and design) and practical skills (installation, testing, and fault‑finding) in our fully equipped workshops. Assess learners’ progress through practical assessments, written assignments, and exams, providing constructive feedback to help them excel. Keep your teaching current by integrating the latest industry standards, such as the 18th Edition Wiring Regulations and emerging technologies like renewable energy systems. Support learners with career guidance, employability skills, and preparation for industry placements or apprenticeships. Collaborate with colleagues to develop innovative teaching resources and share best practice.
What You'll Bring
- A recognised qualification in Electrical Installation (Level 2 or above).
- Industry experience as an electrician or similar role.
- A teaching qualification (PGCE, Cert Ed, or equivalent) or willingness to work towards one.
- Up‑to‑date knowledge of the 18th Edition Wiring Regulations (BS 7671).
- Strong communication skills and the ability to inspire learners from diverse backgrounds.
