Financial Accountant
Salary: Band 9, SCP 41 - 43, £52,413 - £54,495 per annum
Hours: Full-time, permanent, 36 hours per week. Monday to Thursday 8:45am – 5:00pm, Friday 8:45am – 3:30pm
Location: Newtownards Campus
Job Purpose
The post holder will report to the Deputy Head of Finance and represent them, as required, within their sphere of responsibility. They will lead financial accounting for the College, producing statutory financial statements, liaising with external and internal auditors, preparing information for the Department for the Economy’s group financial statements, and collaborating with the finance team on monthly management accounts.
Key duties also include ensuring compliance with financial reporting rules, preparing compliance returns, managing the Assistant Accountant, and overseeing the Accounts Payable function.
