Band 3, SCP 5-6, £13.63 - £13.85 per hour. Creche Assistant Register. Hours will vary to suit the requirements of the post. Newcastle Campus.
Job Purpose
Reporting to the Creche Manager, the post-holder will work as part of the creche team to deliver high quality childcare and education for the children of SERC students.
Essential Assessment Criteria
- Hold a minimum of an NVQ Level 2 in Children’s Care, Learning and Development or Playwork or two years recent experience (within the last 5 years) providing care for children aged 5 and under in a professional childcare setting.
- Experience of working with children aged 5 years and under in a childcare setting (includes student placement setting).
- Ability to work effectively both independently and in collaboration with other practitioners.
- Competent in the use of ICT to support record keeping in the setting.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
