Job Introduction

We are seeking a Service Delivery Shunter Level 2 to join us at ourVictoria Grosvenor Road site. The main purpose of the role is to provide correctly marshalled trains at the time laid down and ensure this work is performed safely and to provide a quality and cost‑efficient service.

• Maintain competency in Isolations and carry out Isolations as and when required.
• To Ensure Passenger Stock is formed correctly as shown in Carriage Working notice and supplements.
• Responsible for maintaining thorough knowledge of Rules and Regulations that apply to work.
• Ensure that all tasks are performed in accordance with the depot operating instruction for movements and depot protection.
• Ensure compliance to the requirement of Engineering and Railway Group Standards and any other documents relevant to the operation of the depot.
• Ensure your personal safety and that of others at all times.
• Ensure that Depot premises are maintained in a safe and clean condition.

The Ideal Candidate

• Knowledge of safety regulations.
• Ability to motivate and manage a diverse team

All successful candidates will need to undertake and pass a full safety critical medical before formal offer.

Due to the start and end times of shifts, candidates are required to have their own mode of transport to get to and from the place of work as they will be outside of operating times. There are onsite parking facilities.

Shift Pattern
You'll work an average of 35 hours per week on a rota basis. You will need the ability to work a variation of shifts:

Weekday shifts (Monday to Friday)

• 07:00 to 15:10
• 15:00 to 23:10
• 23:00 to 07:00

Weekend shifts (Saturday and Sunday)

• 07:00 to 19:00
• 19:00 to 07:00
