We are recruiting a 12-month fixed-term contract to cover maternity leave, and a new permanent vacancy as we are growing our team. We are seeking two expert Logistics Planning Coordinators to join our team—one for a 12-month fixed-term contract to cover maternity leave, and one for a new permanent vacancy due to team expansion.

Are you the strategist who thrives on pre-planning the perfect route? We need logistical experts to take the helm of our tanker routing and driver coordination. This crucial role in the water industry involves navigating complexity, avoiding pitfalls, and ensuring our fleet operates with clockwork precision.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Strategic Route Planning: Architect and re-plan HGV routes to ensure drivers use only approved paths, preventing access to restricted areas and maximising efficiency.
  • Workforce & Compliance Management: Oversee the driver rota, including hours, breaks, rest periods, holidays, and sickness. You will be the guardian of driver regulations, ensuring no hours are exceeded and all rest requirements are met.
  • Operational Documentation: Create comprehensive job packs for drivers. You'll ensure these are supplied to the Tanker Lead, signed, scanned, and meticulously filed for full audit compliance.
  • Fleet Maintenance Oversight: Coordinate MOTs, servicing, and general maintenance. You'll keep a detailed record of all fleet activity and report directly to the Tanker Lead.
  • Cross-Departmental Liaison: Act as the vital link between distribution and production. You will raise all planned and reactive work streams through the company management system, ensuring every action is recorded.
  • Emergency & Operational Excellence: Utilise your background in water industry operations to manage scheduling within a fast-paced environment, applying emergency response expertise to handle reactive scenarios with composure.

What You'll Bring:

  • Planning Expertise: Proven experience in a planning and scheduling environment, specifically within a logistics company.
  • Industry Knowledge: Solid understanding of the water industry or emergency planning procedures.
  • Certification: A valid Water Hygiene Qualification.
  • Regulatory Sharpness: A deep understanding of driver hours and transport regulations.
  • System Savvy: Ability to navigate complex company management systems to raise work streams.
  • Detail Oriented: An eye for compliance, from job pack signatures to maintenance logs.
  • Resilience: The ability to pivot plans quickly when reactive work or emergency scenarios arise.
