As the Water Resources (WR) Analyst, you will monitor and analyse water resources, focusing on ensuring regulatory compliance through accurate, timely, and auditable reporting. In this role, you will collect, analyse, and support the development of supply and demand forecasting data, while providing technical expertise to internal teams. You will be expected to prioritise competing tasks, collaborate constructively with internal and external stakeholders (including regulators), and proactively engage in water resource management discussions, proposing and delivering agreed solutions.
Main Responsibilities
- Monitor and analyse water resources.
- Conduct accurate, timely, and auditable regulatory reporting.
- Ensure regulatory compliance and identify areas for improvement.
- Collect and analyse supply forecasting data and support its maintenance and development.
- Provide technical support on supply and demand.
- Forecast data and regulatory reporting to the Water Resources department and other internal teams.
- Prioritise competing tasks, demonstrating flexibility with workload.
- Collaborate constructively with internal and external stakeholders, accommodating differing priorities, and understanding other departments' needs where possible.
- Utilise excellent technical skills in specialised water supply forecasting.
- Challenge data quality as needed.
- Consistently provide reliable, clear technical support across the business.
- Develop competence and expertise in self and others to deliver results on time.
- Maintain and improve quality by working to high specifications.
- Support and collaborate with internal departments (Assets, Operations, Water Quality, Finance, Customer Services) to ensure understanding and compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Engage with Regulators to understand needs, demonstrate compliance, and propose compromises where necessary.
