You’ll support our Project Managers in delivering a diverse portfolio of water infrastructure projects, ensuring we deliver on time and on budget while maintaining the high standards our customers expect. Main responsibilities:
- Ensure the appropriate administration of all Engineering, mainly the NEC framework contracts.
- Support the Project managers in contract administration and commercial negotiations.
- Help draft NEC compliant contracts and support the technical Engineering team in drafting compliant works information sections and scopes.
- Report monthly project performance against key KPIs.
- Assess pricing and risk elements of tender returns, pricing or quotations.
- Complete directorate reporting of forecast completion, cost and value to date, forecast outturn and planned completion for all projects within allocated project portfolio.
- Advocate and support the following and continual improvement of the departments processes and procedures, including adjustments to contracts as required.
- Support the departments Health, Safety and Wellbeing approach by visiting site and completing a safety observation and supporting safe sites.
- Actively undertake the appropriate training in company mandatory areas with focus on NEC contract training and seeking RICS chartership status.
- Manage Early Warning, Compensation Event and Risk tools as well as business systems.
You’ll need:
- Degree level in Quantity Surveying or Civil Engineering.
- Excellent team management skills.
- Excellent report writing, editorial skills and good oral communication.
- Delivery focused with a good team ethic and organisational skills.
- Experience in quantity surveying or contract management in the construction industry with practical awareness of NEC contracts and contract administration.
- Understanding of the Health and Safety regulations that affect their area of work.
