Overview

Process Technician role focused on operating and maintaining water production sites to ensure a reliable water supply for communities. You will monitor and manage water levels and flows in reservoirs and pumping stations, implement process improvements, and ensure accurate data recording and work management updates. The role may involve working at different locations within the Kent area and requires a willingness to participate in standby and out-of-hours support after training.

Responsibilities

  • Operate, monitor, control, check, and maintain water treatment processes at production sites to ensure reliable and efficient operation.
  • Control and monitor the correct use of chemicals within treatment processes, including receipt and delivery.
  • Assist other Production team members with Confined Space Entry where three or more personnel are required.
  • Liaise with and supervise contractors while works are undertaken on sites.
  • Complete administration related to reactive and planned maintenance work.
  • Carry out general site duties to keep sites clean and tidy; monitor and maintain security of production sites.
  • Issue Permits to Work where required and assist with capital works as needed.
  • Adhere to Health & Safety legislation, company policies, and SOPs.
  • Participate in a standby rota to provide out-of-hours support to the operational area.

  • Flexible and willing to perform duties within capabilities; job contents may change over time.
  • Compensation: £35,630.66 – £44,188.21

  • Role includes company vehicle for travel between locations and a standby allowance and overtime where applicable.
