We are looking for an experienced Regional Works Delivery Manager to play a pivotal role in delivering safe, efficient and compliant water network operations across our region. This is a critical operational role, acting as the link between strategic planning and on-the-ground delivery. You'll provide rigorous oversight of Repair & Maintenance (R&M) contractors, ensuring all works across the water distribution network are delivered safely, on time, within budget and fully compliant with contractual, regulatory and health & safety requirements. With a strong Safety-first mindset, you'll drive performance, manage incidents, and ensure customer impact is minimised while regulatory and operational targets are consistently met.
Main Responsibilities
- Oversee R&M contractors to ensure effective service delivery and full compliance with contract terms.
- Monitor, challenge and improve contractor performance against KPIs, SLAs and targets.
- Ensure all street works are delivered safely and in full compliance with Health & Safety and Highway legislation.
- Manage the repair of leaks and bursts within agreed SLAs to meet regulatory leakage targets and minimise customer disruption.
- Maintain regional depots to achieve 100% compliance against key operational safety metrics.
- Manage minor work activity and small, network-driven schemes in the most cost-effective manner.
- Work closely with the Strategic Contract Manager to ensure financial accuracy, governance and security.
- Implement and oversee a consistent approach to work delivery and financial auditing across regions.
- Liaise with Regional Network and Production Managers to streamline planning and execution.
- Provide expert operational support during live incidents and emergency situations.
- Act as Deputy to the Senior Works Delivery Manager when required.
- Deliver clear, professional reports and presentations to internal and external stakeholders.
What you'll need
- Extensive experience within water distribution and network systems.
- Minimum of 3 years' experience managing and supervising teams.
- Recognised qualification in Management and Supervision.
- Management and Supervisory certificate in Highway Management.
- Certified in Health & Safety management (relevant to field teams and contractors).
- Proven track record in managing water repair and maintenance (R&M) contracts and third-party contractors.
- Demonstrated practical knowledge of main laying practices gained within the last 5 years.

Compensation package
