As our Engineering Coordinator, you’ll be the key link between our internal teams and external contractors. It’s a busy role focused on making sure our engineering processes run smoothly and stay on schedule. We’re looking for someone who takes pride in the details. Main Responsibilities

  • You’ll be the central point of coordination, keeping our projects on track and our stakeholders informed.
  • Your day-to-day will involve:
  • Managing the Flow: You’ll oversee reporting processes and act as the primary liaison with contractors to ensure inspection reports and project data meet our high-quality standards.
  • Data Integrity: Checking and reviewing reports for accuracy, ensuring everything is in the right format before it hits our Assets Department.
  • System Ownership: You’ll become our 'Maximo' go-to person, issuing work instruction numbers and managing documentation through QPulse and Think Project CDE.
  • Stakeholder Magic: You’ll coordinate between engineering staff and various stakeholders to ensure deadlines are met and everyone is working to the agreed operational procedures.
  • Project Tracking: Creating and managing complex spreadsheets to track progress, as well as maintaining our Commitments Database.
  • Community Engagement: Organising essential letter drop campaigns to keep our customers informed about the engineering work happening in their area.
  • Reporting: Creating project performance and management reports that give us the big picture.
  • Contribute to a developing role by supporting evolving departmental needs, including specification change management, the refinement of internal standards and procedures, and the facilitation of internal audits and induction processes.

What you’ll need

  • Solid Foundations: GCSEs (grades A-C/4-9) or equivalent in both Numeracy and Literacy.
  • Technical Savvy: Excellent IT, analytical, and numerical skills, with the ability to present complex data clearly. Experience with Google Workspace would be an advantage.
  • Industry Insight: Prior experience working within a utility business or the construction industry.
  • Team Spirit: The ability to work within a multidisciplinary team and adapt quickly to a fast-paced environment.
  • Communication Skills: Strong written and oral communication skills, with the confidence to influence stakeholders.
  • Mobility: A full driving licence is essential, as you will need to attend various project and operational meetings.
