As a Production Manager, you will lead a team of process technicians to ensure efficient water treatment and production processes at our key operational sites as a reliable supply of wholesome water is crucial for communities.
You will use your organisational skills and problem-solving abilities to help your team perform their best. It is important to be attentive and adaptable to effectively handle difficulties and find optimal solutions to problems that arise. Your strategic thinking will be valued in shaping operational strategy.
As a leader within our operational management team, your focus will be on site reliability, performance, compliance, quality, resource control, and usage metrics.
Being methodical and safety-conscious is essential to ensure the best outcomes for our people, customers, and business.
You will work 37 hours per week and be part of a weekend standby rota for emergencies, with a standby allowance provided. Travel will also be required to manage field-based technicians.
Main Responsibilities:
- Manage production activity and nurture team development by reviewing processes, procedures, training & knowledge transfer.
- Oversee adherence to company policy and procedures.
- Budget setting responsibilities, cost centre accountability and performance.
- Measure and manage performance, key indicators, outcomes, appraisals.
- Responsible for operational performance outcomes site reliability, performance, site checks, water quality, water resource control and usage.
- Operational reporting (activity, sickness, exceptions etc.).
- Supervision, control and accountability for operational health and safety.
- Provide management support and expertise during incidents.
- Liaise with other Operational Managers to ensure the effective delivery of works.
- Provide effective reports and presentations as part of stakeholder engagement and communications.

Skills/Qualifications/Experience
- Experience in managing or supervising a production or operational site
- Leading a team
- Water Industry experience.
- The ability to solve complex problems and a passion for continuous improvement.
- Recognise the importance of promoting a positive health and safety culture.
- A full, clean driver’s licence
