Are you an experienced Civil Engineer looking for a role that offers real purpose and impact? We're looking for an Engineer to join our Civils team, working on vital water infrastructure projects that make a genuine difference to people's lives across the South East. This is a chance to use your expertise to help us deliver safe, clean drinking water to our customers, from the very beginning of a project to its successful completion. You'll be part of a supportive team, working on exciting, varied projects and shaping your own technical deliverables.
Main Responsibilities
- Review and check project scopes to make sure they'll achieve the right outcomes.
- Provide technical solutions and support on capital projects, producing key documents like design drawings, CDM documents, and job specification packs.
- Check other people's work for technical quality.
- Mentor our brilliant Graduate Civil Engineers and apprentices, helping them to grow and develop their skills.
- Liaise with both internal and external teams to get project approvals.
- Visit sites to carry out audits and provide guidance to contractors.
Skills / Qualifications / Experience
- An HNC, HND, or degree in Civil Engineering or a similar discipline.
- Experience in a similar Civil Engineer role, with the ability to manage your own deliverables.
- A strong awareness and understanding of industry standards and specifications.
- A solid understanding of CDM 2015 and how to apply it to projects.
- Experience in the design, construction, or maintenance of infrastructure and non-infrastructure assets.
- The ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Excellent communication skills to liaise with stakeholders at all levels.
