We are looking for an experienced Regional Works Delivery Manager to play a pivotal role in delivering safe, efficient and compliant water network operations across our region. This is a critical operational role, acting as the link between strategic planning and on-the-ground delivery. You’ll provide rigorous oversight of Repair & Maintenance (R&M) contractors, ensuring all works across the water distribution network are delivered safely, on time, within budget and fully compliant with contractual, regulatory and health & safety requirements. With a strong Safety-first mindset, you’ll drive performance, manage incidents, and ensure customer impact is minimised while regulatory and operational targets are consistently met.

Main Responsibilities

  • Oversee R&M contractors to ensure effective service delivery and full compliance with contract terms.
  • Monitor, challenge and improve contractor performance against KPIs, SLAs and targets.
  • Ensure all street works are delivered safely and in full compliance with Health & Safety and Highway legislation.
  • Manage the repair of leaks and bursts within agreed SLAs to meet regulatory leakage targets and minimize customer disruption.
  • Maintain regional depots to achieve 100% compliance against key operational safety metrics.
  • Manage minor work activity and small, network-driven schemes in the most cost-effective manner.
  • Work closely with the Strategic Contract Manager to ensure financial accuracy, governance and security.
  • Implement and oversee a consistent approach to work delivery and financial auditing across regions.
  • Liaise with Regional Network and Production Managers to streamline planning and execution.
  • Provide expert operational support during live incidents and emergency situations.
  • Act as Deputy to the Senior Works Delivery Manager when required.
  • Deliver clear, professional reports and presentations to internal and external stakeholders.

What You’ll Need

  • Extensive experience within water distribution and network systems.
  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience managing and supervising teams.
  • Recognised qualification in Management and Supervision.
  • Management and Supervisory certificate in Highway Management.
  • Certified in Health and Safety management (relevant to field teams and contractors).
  • Proven track record in managing water repair and maintenance (R&M) contracts and third-party contractors.
  • Demonstrated practical knowledge of main laying practices gained within the last 5 years.

We want to be the water company people want to be supplied by and want to work for. We know the communities we serve are diverse. We recognise that creativity comes from diversity, not similarity. That’s why we are enthusiastic about creating inclusion across age, race, gender, ethnicity, religion and identity. You will experience our dedication to equal opportunities and fair treatment for all: through your recruitment, employment and career progression with South East Water.

Benefits package

  • Excellent Stakeholder pension scheme, up to 10% employer contribution.
  • 5 weeks holiday plus bank holidays per annum, increasing to 6 weeks with length of service.

  • Health cash plan.
  • Life assurance.
  • Wellbeing related benefits.
