We are looking for a Water Efficiency Education Assistant to join our team in Snodland (with hybrid flexibility). This is a unique opportunity to use your coordination skills for a truly meaningful cause - supporting our education outreach program across schools and workplaces throughout Kent.

This isn’t just an admin job; it’s a role where your logistical expertise directly impacts our ability to educate the community. You’ll be the engine room of our outreach, ensuring that when our Education Lead arrives at a school or a group of students visits our "Flow Zone," everything is perfectly prepared, from the coach transport to the activity sheets.

Whether you are looking for a role with a better work-life balance, eager to grow within the water sector, or seeking a supportive environment to sharpen your skills, this role offers the variety and purpose you’ve been searching for.

Main responsibilities:

In this role, you will provide comprehensive logistical support to ensure our education program runs like clockwork. Your day-to-day will involve:

  • Mastering the Schedule: Proactively managing a complex diary for the Water Efficiency Education Lead, ensuring 100% accuracy and resolving any booking conflicts immediately.
  • End-to-End Logistics: Coordinating all school visits to the Flow Zone and operational sites, including booking reliable coach hire and managing transport logistics.
  • Compliance & Preparation: Developing and distributing mandatory school information packs, risk assessments, and Health & Safety guidelines.
  • Being the Face of the Program: Serving as the primary professional point of contact for all scheduling enquiries via phone and email.
  • Data & Inventory: Rigorously maintaining our CRM/database to track bookings and reporting, while also managing the inventory of promotional and educational supplies so the team is always fully equipped.
  • Continuous Improvement: Designing and implementing a feedback system to gather insights from schools and workplaces to help us keep improving our service.
You’ll need: Skills / Qualifications / Experience

We are looking for a self-starter who can anticipate needs and troubleshoot issues before they arise. You should have:

  • Educational Foundation: An A Level standard education or proven experience in the workplace.
  • Organisational Excellence: Exceptional multitasking abilities with a proven track record of managing busy, complex schedules.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication, with the ability to maintain professionalism with both internal teams and external school partners.
  • Tech Savvy: Proficiency in Google Workspace and calendar software (Outlook/Google Calendar), and the confidence to learn new CRM systems.
  • Attention to Detail: Meticulous accuracy in every task, from data entry to risk assessment preparation.
  • Practicality: A driving license and a good geographical understanding of Kent to assist with regional planning.

We want to be the water company people want to be supplied by and want to work for. We know the communities we serve are diverse. We recognise creativity comes from diversity not similarity. That’s why we are enthusiastic about creating inclusion across age, race, gender, ethnicity, religion and identity. You will experience our dedication to equal opportunities and fair treatment for all: through your recruitment, employment and career progression with South East Water.

Benefits package:
  • Excellent Stakeholder pension scheme, up to 10% employer contribution.
  • 5 weeks holiday plus bank holidays per annum, increasing to 6 weeks with length of service.
  • Flexible annual leave policy to buy or sell holiday leave.
  • Paid volunteering days.
  • Cycle to work scheme.
  • Health cash plan.
  • Life assurance.
  • Wellbeing related benefits.
