Are you a strategic housing leader ready to shape high‑performing neighbourhood services and deliver real outcomes for residents? We are looking for an ambitious and driven Housing Neighbourhood Operations Manager to take on a pivotal leadership role within our housing service. This is a newly created post, introduced following a service review, offering you a unique opportunity to shape the service, influence direction, and embed a high‑performing, customer‑focused culture from the outset.
About South Holland District Council: South Holland District Council is a council landlord based in South Lincolnshire managing 4,000 properties including 1,000 Sheltered Housing homes. Rated C2 by the Regulator of Social Housing in 2025, with a transformation programme focussed on ongoing service improvement to deliver high‑quality housing services.
About the role: You will provide strategic and operational leadership across all neighbourhood housing services, including tenancy management, income, antisocial behaviour and independent living. Working closely with the Service Director – Housing and the wider leadership team, you will:
- Lead the strategic direction of neighbourhood housing services
- Drive performance, compliance and continuous improvement
- Act as the senior lead on Regulator of Social Housing standards and Housing Ombudsman requirements
- Oversee income services, including rent and service charges
- Use insight from complaints, audits and tenant feedback to improve services
- Engage with Members, partners and stakeholders on performance and risk
What you’ll bring: This role requires a strong, credible leader who can operate strategically while maintaining a firm grip on operational delivery. You will bring:
- Experience in social housing leadership
- In‑depth knowledge of housing legislation and regulatory framework
- Strong financial and performance management capability
- Experience delivering service improvement and transformation
- Excellent communication, influencing and stakeholder management skills
