About Us

Boston Borough Council, East Lindsey District Council and South Holland District Council have formed the South & East Lincolnshire Councils Partnership. The largest Council Partnership in the country. Since October 2021, the Partnership Councils have been working closely to deliver improved services to the communities in the sub-region and already there have been many positive outcomes.

Over time, it is envisaged that services will become formally shared across the three Councils creating the opportunity for colleagues to be involved in new and innovative areas of work.

About the Role

As a Senior Planning Officer, you will:

  • Assess and manage planning applications, advise on enforcement matters, and manage planning appeals.
  • Prepare reports and recommendations for Planning Committee and delegated decisions.
  • Provide professional advice to applicants, agents, and stakeholders.
  • Represent the Council at planning appeals.
  • Contribute to service improvements and mentor junior colleagues.

What We’re Looking For

  • Knowledge of planning legislation and development management processes.
  • Strong analytical, negotiation, and communication skills.
  • Degree or diploma in Town & Country Planning (or equivalent) and eligibility for RTPI membership.
  • Ability to manage a varied caseload and work to deadlines.
  • A proactive, customer-focused approach with a “can-do” attitude.
