Our Partnership has secured over Ā£40 million in Levelling Up funding, driving transformative projects such as PE21/Rosegarth Square public realm improvements, Boston Leisure Centre redevelopment and Boston College flagship Mayflower building regeneration.
ABOUT US: Boston Borough Council, East Lindsey District Council and South Holland District Council have formed the South & East Lincolnshire Councils Partnership. Since October 2021, the Partnership Councils have been working closely to deliver improved services to the communities in the sub-region and already there have been many positive outcomes. Over time, it is envisaged that services will become formally shared across the three Councils creating the opportunity for colleagues to be involved in new and innovative areas of work.

About the Role
As Principal Planning Officer, you will:
- Lead on major and complex planning applications from preāapplication to delivery.
- Provide professional advice and oversee decisionāmaking, including signing off reports and recommendations.
- Represent the Council at planning committees, appeals and public inquiries.
- Mentor and support junior officers, fostering a #OneTeam culture.
- Drive service improvements and contribute to strategic projects that shape our communities.
What Weāre Looking For
- Extensive knowledge of planning legislation and Development Management.
- Proven experience managing major/complex applications and delivering positive outcomes.
- Strong negotiation, problemāsolving and leadership skills.
- RTPI membership (or eligibility) and commitment to ongoing professional development.
- A proactive, collaborative approach with a ācanādoā attitude.
