Make a difference tackling rough sleeping. Are you passionate about supporting vulnerable people and helping to end rough sleeping? We’re looking for a committed and compassionate Rough Sleeping Case Officer to join our Housing & Support Solutions Team on a fixed term contract for 6 months. This is a rewarding opportunity to work directly with individuals at risk of homelessness, supporting them to rebuild their lives, secure stable accommodation, and achieve independence.
About the Role
You will play a key role in our Rough Sleeping Prevention and Recovery Team, providing practical and emotional support to people who are:
- Sleeping rough or at risk of rough sleeping
- Living in temporary accommodation
- Experiencing complex needs such as mental health or addiction
You’ll manage your own caseload, working with partners across housing, health, and the voluntary sector to develop tailored support plans and achieve positive outcomes.
Key duties:
- Street outreach (early/late hours)
- Manage caseloads & support plans
- Help clients access housing, health & support services
- Work with partners & landlords
- Provide tenancy sustainment support
You’ll need:
- Experience in housing/support roles
- Strong communication & partnership working
- Ability to work flexibly & travel across the district independently
