We are looking for a reliable and hardworking HGV Mechanical Sweeper Driver to join our Neighbourhood Services team. The role will be based from our Skegness Depot. In this role, you will help keep our communities clean, safe, and well-presented by operating a mechanical sweeper and supporting a range of street cleansing and environmental services across public spaces, highways, and Council-owned land. This is a hands-on position where no two days are the same, and you’ll play a key part in delivering high-quality environmental services to our residents. A current LGV Cat C licence is essential.

Key responsibilities:

  • Operate an HGV Mechanical Sweeper safely and efficiently
  • Carry out cleansing duties across public highways, open spaces, and Council-owned areas
  • Support additional Neighbourhood Services activities, including grounds maintenance and street cleansing, when required
  • Follow daily work schedules and instructions from supervisors and managers
  • Ensure vehicles and equipment are clean, well-maintained, and safe to use
