We are recruiting for a Support Assistant based in our Neighbourhood Services team here at East Lindsey District Council.
The role is part time, working a flexible 22 hour week which will ideally be Monday to Friday however the working pattern can be discussed at shortlisting stage.
Neighbourhoods Operations is a very busy department working hard to keep our district’s environment a pleasant one, for all to enjoy. Their duties are wide ranging! Everything from grounds maintenance and beach cleaning through to fly tipping and abandoned vehicles – and much more besides!
The main responsibilities of the role include:
- Updating and maintaining records/ databases accurately and to deadlines
- Dealing with telephone and written enquiries, complaints and service requests from members of the public
- Preparing documents and letters (including mail merge)
- Raising orders and ensuring that they are fulfilled correctly.
- Raising invoices and following up payment when necessary
- Assisting in the preparation and provision of information and departmental reporting
To be good in this role you need to be comfortable using IT, in particular MS Office products e.g. Excel, Word, Outlook. Various software systems are in use but full training in those will be given.
Personally, you will have great people and communication skills (written and oral), strong attention to detail and be able to adapt to changing business needs – if you are organised, self-motivated and able to build good working relationships with a willingness to get involved, we’d love to hear from you!
