Overview
£13.45 per hour
Boston Borough Council is seeking to appoint a Market Operative / Driver with the ability to drive and tow our trailers (B + E licence required).
Responsibilities
- Safely loading and unloading all equipment from the designated trailers used for storage and transportation.
- Erecting and dismantling market gazebos and returning all equipment to the provided trailers at the conclusion of each market.
- Ensuring the provision of a reliable, high-performing markets service.
- Assisting with the setup and takedown of additional events, with overtime opportunities available.
Working environment and hours
The role is physically demanding and involves handling heavy-duty commercial gazebos, weights, sides, and traffic barriers. It requires working outdoors in all weather conditions. Working hours are 5:30am – 8:00am on Wednesdays and Saturdays for market assembly and approximately 3:30pm – 6:00pm on Wednesdays and Saturdays for market disassembly. Additional weekend or evening work may be available as overtime during special markets or events.
