Our waste and cleansing service plays a vital role in keeping the district clean, safe and welcoming for residents and visitors. We are looking for a reliable and hardworking Street Sweeper Litter Picker / Driver to join our Direct Services team.

Responsibilities:

  • Sweeping and litter picking roads, footways and verges
  • Emptying litter bins in line with cleansing schedules
  • Driving Council vehicles up to 7.5 tonnes where required
  • Providing cover for public convenience cleaning
  • Following health & safety procedures and Council policies
  • Undertaking training and additional duties as required

Qualifications:

  • A clean driving licence
  • A reliable and responsible approach
  • The ability to work independently and within a team
  • Good customer service skills
  • A flexible attitude and willingness to undertake training
  • The physical capability to carry out the duties of the role
