Our waste and cleansing service plays a vital role in keeping the district clean, safe and welcoming for residents and visitors. We are looking for a reliable and hardworking Street Sweeper Litter Picker / Driver to join our Direct Services team.
Responsibilities:
- Sweeping and litter picking roads, footways and verges
- Emptying litter bins in line with cleansing schedules
- Driving Council vehicles up to 7.5 tonnes where required
- Providing cover for public convenience cleaning
- Following health & safety procedures and Council policies
- Undertaking training and additional duties as required
Qualifications:
- A clean driving licence
- A reliable and responsible approach
- The ability to work independently and within a team
- Good customer service skills
- A flexible attitude and willingness to undertake training
- The physical capability to carry out the duties of the role
