We have an exciting opportunity for a Project Manager to join us! This is a full-time, permanent hybrid role with a salary of £46,355 – £50,446 per annum.

The Role
Reporting to the Senior Project Manager, you will lead the delivery of a varied portfolio of capital and planned works projects across the council’s operational and corporate estate. Managing projects from feasibility through to completion, you will coordinate consultants, contractors and stakeholders to ensure projects are delivered safely, on time, within budget and in line with the council’s governance and compliance requirements. This is a hands-on delivery role requiring strong project management, contractor coordination and stakeholder management skills within a live operational environment.
Your Role will Involve
- Managing capital and planned works projects from inception through to completion and handover
- Coordinating contractors, consultants and suppliers to deliver projects safely and effectively
- Managing project budgets, forecasting, change control and financial reporting
- Ensuring compliance with CDM regulations, health and safety requirements and corporate governance processes
- Building strong working relationships with stakeholders, service leads and building users throughout project delivery
What We Are Looking For
- Experience of delivering construction, property or planned maintenance projects from inception through to completion
- Experience of managing contractors, consultants and project stakeholders within a live operational environment
- Good understanding of procurement, contract management and project governance processes
- Knowledge of health and safety, CDM regulations and statutory compliance requirements relating to construction projects
- Strong organisational and communication skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver solutions proactively
