Who are we looking for?
An exciting opportunity has arisen to join our Transactional Services Team within the Finance department at Wealden District Council. This is a varied and important role where you’ll play a key part in supporting the smooth running of our financial operations.
What will the role involve?
- Process accounts payable and receivable transactions accurately and efficiently.
- Support credit control activities, including proactive debt collection.
- Carry out banking and income allocation tasks.
- Act as first point of contact for customer queries, resolving them professionally and effectively.
- Communicate regularly with customers via phone and written correspondence.
What skills, knowledge and abilities do you require for the role?
- Prioritise and manage a busy workload effectively.
- Comfortable working independently and as part of a team.
- Confident communicator with a professional telephone manner.
