Eastleigh Borough Council are actively seeking to recruit a new Design Coordinator to join the existing The One Horton Heath development team. Our One Horton Heath project is well underway with several design and construction processes running and we now have a vacancy for a Design Coordinator to support the Technical team.
About The Role
We are looking for a Design Coordinator to coordinate the design, construction and planning processes. In this pivotal role working closely with the Technical Manager and the Development Planning Manager, you will be a key part of the team responsible for turning planning and concept-stage designs into detailed design packages which are capable of delivering the housing build. You will manage the preparation of detailed design packages and schedules for specific works elements, ensuring technical and regulatory compliance in all designs, as well as prepare programmes and set out timescales for the delivery of design packages. Engaging and working with external design and construction agencies you will ensure our planning and building regulations are discharged appropriately.
About You
You will have a solid background in a similar role and be confident working in a multi-disciplinary team managing your own workload and ensuring priorities are met. You will have detailed knowledge of construction processes and building regulations as well as good knowledge of the relevant statutory and legislative requirements within design, construction and planning processes. Ideally you have achieved an undergraduate degree in construction or a related field such as building surveying, architecture, architectural technology or engineering.
